CONvergence PowerPoint Karaoke Favorites

Since our now-yearly CONvergence audience is by far our largest and geekiest, the CVG PowerPoint Karaoke show last week was jam-packed with slides too nerdy for general audiences. Bill and I went a bit into overdrive.

For those of you who weren’t there (or even those who were and are feeling nostalgic), below the cut you will see some of my favorite slides from the show.

(By the by, I just wanted to announce that PowerPoint Karaoke will be returning to the Bryant-Lake Bowl on a monthly basis in September. I’ll post details when I have ’em!)

The original concept for this one came from a late night drinking session with Jerry Belich. He drew something similar to this on a napkin. I figured it needed a larger audience.

Trivia: One of the judges for the CONvergence show was Sharon Stiteler, who manages Neil Gaiman’s beehives.

This one was one of Bill’s contributions. It hit the ball out of the park, as they say.

A woman came up after the show and asked for a copy of this slide. Apparently, someone she knew just moved to Japan to become a clown. NO LIE.

HODOR.

Because Japan doesn’t have enough weird and creepy stuff already? 0.o

  2. I find the clown slide super funny. It’s an interesting approach to info-graphics, it’s so bold. As a power point company we are always on the lookout for designs like this. I’ll keep you bookmarked and send it to our powerpoint designer.

  3. I don’t get the bean and beer slide. Can you explain? Thanks
